This book is a graphic work, published in 2000 and is composed of 110 plates
which represent the buildings that appear along the river of the Riviera of
the Brenta, from the route outlet in the Venetian lagoon at Lizza Fusina to
come alongside the port in Padova- porta Portello.
In the central part there are illustrations of the buildings of the XVIII°
century, a period of maximum splendor of the Serenissima and it is possible
to admire many villas that no longer exist.. In the top and bottom margins
there is compared the real existing situations where obvious changes have
happened over time and with construction of new buildings.
The publication begins with an explanatory relationship of the author, architect
Gianfranco R. Baldan, about the Riviera of the Brenta,
and how urban reality under methodology of work has accompanied the research
during a number of years.
